Certified organic coffee is grown without the use of pesticides and fertilizers that are prohibited in the U.S. National Organic Standards. Organic farming practices support the meticulous ecological balance maintained on farms and contribute to the extraordinary quality of specialty coffee. Coffee farms and processing facilities are certified organic by a third-party certifying agency.

Choosing only organically grown beans, famed film director David Lynch established an extensive, personalized testing method and began to systematically narrow down the field of his favorite roasts and beans. He continued for months, testing and tweaking the profiles on his favorites, eventually choosing three unique coffee blends to package under his own label.
Caffeine isn’t the only reason why the world loves coffee. That’s a common misconception. It’s true that coffee is a rich source of caffeine, which in itself is the perfect way of spiking your brain cells into action (especially after your late night adventure). But aside from that welcomed effect, the secret behind the popularity of coffee can be traced to that most basic of impulses. We love coffee because of its rich aroma and great taste.
For centuries, drinking coffee has been a cherished tradition among millions of people around the world. Today coffee beans are predominantly produced in Central American and several parts of Asia. With over a hundred different unique blends around the world choosing the right coffee can be quite challenging. Coffee is judged based on the characteristics of aroma, flavor, brightness or acidity. Ultimately, your coffee selection will boil down to your taste preferences.
For instance, if you like your coffee slightly acidic and with a lot more bite then lighter color roasts are bound to be more preferable. Light roasts are commonly produced in Central America and have a richer full-bodied feel to them. Medium roasts are not as acidic as lighter roasts. They are considered by many to be the standard coffee flavor. American medium roast is not as full-bodied as light roast coffee. They however have a richer aroma and smoother aftertaste. This is because the sustained roast draws out the coffee oils from the beans which are responsible for the aroma.
During your coffee selection, you’re bound to come across the Italian/French Roast. The French roast coffee is considered by many to be one of the darkest roasts. The beans are colored a deep chocolate brown with a glossy feel. Dark coffee roasts have a lighter body partly because of the reduced coffee oil content. But this lighter body is nicely complimented by unique smoky undertone and a sweeter taste. Because of how long it is roasted, dark roasted coffee does not contain as much caffeine as light or medium roast.
The flavor of your coffee selection will be affected by the region in which the coffee beans are grown. A coffee bean from Indonesia will have a different taste from another grown in Ethiopia even if they are both roasted the same way. Roasters take advantage of this unique difference by creating special blends made up of different coffee beans. Some blends have become very popular for this reason. The web is filled with places that you can order your coffee from. Some of these are great while others leave much to be desired. A good example of the former is Java Distribution.
